Janome Automatic Buttonhole Foot R
Using the automatic foot with the stabilizer plate
The Automatic Buttonhole Foot on the Memory Craft 12000 can be used by itself or with the new stabilizer plate. The plate is designed to give the buttonhole foot extra stability, when you're sewing on bulkier fabrics, or when your buttonhole crosses a seam. To sew your buttonhole, place the button in the back of the foot and adjust the holder so the button fits snugly. The foot can handle buttons up to one inch across. There may be times when you would like to slightly adjust the size of your buttonhole on a garment. You can fine-tune the buttonhole without shifting the buttonhole holder, by turning the adjusting screw. Attach the buttonhole foot to the machine. Lower the buttonhole sensor. On your touch screen, choose a buttonhole. You have the option of making several fine adjustments. Change the length of the hole, the overall width, or the stitch density. When you're finished with your adjustments, press ok. Now, insert your project between your foot and the stabilizer plate. And sew your buttonhole. If you want to make a corded buttonhole, you can use the prongs on the front of the foot, which will pull your thread.
