Running Meets Quilting

What do you do with all the T-shirts you've acquired running cross country and track? Make a memory quilt. Sarah Rutledge in the niece of a close friend of Kim Mornati, Janome's Technical Support Supervisor. When Kim learned about Sarah's running career and all the T-shirts she had to show for it, she knew she had a fun project for her Memory Craft 11000.

Her quilt is made up of 12" x 12" squares. When choosing which part of the T-shirts to cut, she used the template for built-in design SQ#19 as a guide. Then she quilted them suing that design.

Sarah began running track in the 4th grade and is now on an athletic and academic scholarship at St. Francis University. Among her many achievements, she is the only girl from Parsippany High School, in Parsippany, NJ, to have won an individual conference championship.
