Janome Horizon Memory Craft 12000
- Product Review (submitted on September 16, 2013):
I used to have a 9500 but it was very difficult to use it on thick fabric like the pre-quilted double side fabric that I use a lot. My needles were constantly breaking and it was very time consuming. Last spring I decided to trade it in for a 12000 and it was the best decision ever. Now I can sew smooth and fast through all types of materials. The machine works perfectly and all I have to do is to change the needles constantly and clean the lint after each project. I have a lot of things that I haven't tried yet with this machine, like the built in quilting stitches, but I’m sure they are also great.
I had some problems with the machine reading my embroidery designs. The solution is to not keep all your designs on just one flash drive because the machine will be overwhelmed, create a jump drive just for the designs that you are going to use and the machine will work a lot better that way. I simply use a flash card which is suggestively named “temporary designs” and since I do this I had no more problems with the machine.
